This dependable, compact Large Orifice Spray Valve is for use with Air Operated Spray Dispensers. The amount of liquid sprayed is adjustable from a fine spray to a coarse spray. The large orifice design is ideal for heavier liquids or applications requiring larger quantities of fluid. Spray valves can be used for lubrication of chains, cables, gears, punches, dies, drills, taps, reamers, milling cutters, grinding wheels, sheet stock, die casting molds, applying liquid to food products, water to embossing rolls of paper machinery, and many other applications.
This Spray Valve is made of aluminum alloy with a brass liquid nozzle. It has a .060 diameter orifice that is about twice the size of the standard spray valve orifice, allowing roughly 4 times the amount of fluid to be dispensed at maximum spray capacity. The handwheel adjustment is brass (tamperproof is also available). Buna-N seals are used. An extra-fine needle valve is used to meter or shut off the flow of liquid. Liquid is sprayed in a round pattern. There is a 1/8” female NPT liquid inlet and a 1/8” female NPT air inlet.
Any liquid that flows can usually be sprayed, up to 1000 SSU viscosity at 100° F. The unit tolerates temperatures up to 225° F. It operates with air and liquid pressures of 5 PSI minimum to 20 PSI maximum. The nozzle is designed to create a controlled spray, minimizing unwanted fogging.
The unit has a 1 1/16” hex and a maximum length of 2 11/16”. There are (2) 8-32 threaded holes for mounting.
