Window Sights allow visual observation of liquid levels and their condition. They can be used to display fluid motion or mechanical movements, as well as to view and perform tests in a safe enclosure. Specific uses include fluid sighting on hydraulic tanks, pressure vessels, reservoirs, packaged power equipment, hydraulic lines and dipping. Their use can be applied to any application where oil or fluid inspection is essential. Two or more sights can be mounted so as to indicate high, low or in-between levels. This windowsight has been specially configured.
The body is constructed with anodized aluminum. There are (3) .05 diameter cross holes on the outer hex of the body. The glass sight is secured between an EPDM seal, nylon washer, and a brass retainer ring, creating leak tight construction. Silk screened level markings on the glass sight indicate the “refill,” cold,” full” and “hot” levels. A stainless steel reflector maximizes liquid level visibility, even in poor light. The reflector will not tarnish, corrode or discolor under the most adverse of conditions. This window sight has a 1 1/16-12 UNF thread that may be used with a mounting nut for drilled holes. The window sight withstands up to 30 PSI.
