Oil-Rite manufactures Lubrication Systems specifically to customer requirements. All systems are engineered, designed, manufactured and fully tested at Oil-Rite. This is an example of a custom built Circulating Oil System.

This Circulating Oil System is equipped with a cast iron pump providing 5 GPM at 300 PSI. The dual 1 1/2 HP, 1760 RPM, XPFC, drill rig duty, explosion proof motors are operated by 3 phase power at 208-230V/460V 60Hz.

The 36 gallon capacity reservoir is constructed with welded 304L stainless steel. A top filler cap makes filling the reservoir quick and simple. The filler cap is equipped with an air filter and liquid strainer to help maintain liquid quality. There are (2) 150# RFF return connections and (1) 1” female NPT drain, (2) 8” clean-out covers on opposite ends, (1) 1” NPT Purge connection on top plate, (2) 1” NPT oil conditioner connections, (2) 3/8-16 grounding pads on opposite ends. A baffle in the tank separates sediment and reduces turbulence. Dual 100 mesh stainless steel suction filters within the reservoir filter larger debris.

A low level switch inside the reservoir can be wired to shut down machinery or turn on warning devices when the liquid supply fails or recedes to a predetermined level.

This system is plumbed for continuous operation with dual filtration systems. The (2) 23 micron, 1000 beta filters located near the outlets help maintain liquid quality. One filter can be serviced while maintaining continuous system operation using the duplicate filter.

An air cooled, explosion proof heat exchanger helps maintain a constant oil supply temperature. It removes approximately 8,500 BTU/Hr.

Heaters can maintain a certain liquid temperature and assist in cold weather start-ups. This Circulating Oil System features a 2500 watt heater in the reservoir. The heater is mounted from the side of the reservoir and housed in an enclosure. It has an integral thermostat adjustable from 60° to 250° F.

Additional controls include:

  • A stainless steel check valve located at the system outlet to ensure fluid flows in only one direction.
  • Dual bypass relief valves, (1) located after the pumps as a safety relief and (1) located near the system outlet to set system pressure, adjustable from 150 to 350 PSI.
  • (3) pressure switches, one located after each pump and near the system outlet, adjustable from 0 to 400 PSI, and housed in a explosion proof enclosures.
  • A dial thermometer displaying 0° to 250° F.
  • (2) temperature transmitters, one located inside the reservoir and one near the system outlet.
  • (2) stainless steel pressure gages, located after the pumps, near the system outlet, displaying 0-400 PSI.
  • A 10” centerline liquid level gage on the outside of the reservoir with a dial thermometer displaying temperatures from 0° to 250° F, allowing visual check of liquid level, condition, and temperature at a glance.

This custom built circulating oil system measures 56” by 30 1/4”. The overall height is approximately 31”. The system can be secured using (4) mounting holes located on the base of the unit.

All Circulating Oil Systems are quoted specifically to customer requirements. Pricing can be determined only after the Circulating Oil System Request Form (found on this page) is completed. Contact the bearing manufacturer for information on the flow rate and fluid required.

Delivery is dependent upon supplier availability, lead times range from 4 to 10 weeks.
