Oil-Rite manufactures Lubrication Systems specifically to customer requirements.  All systems are engineered, designed, manufactured and fully tested at Oil-Rite.  This is an example of a custom built Circulating Oil System.

This Circulating Oil System is a dual, independent system sharing a common reservoir.  It has dual cast iron gear pumps each providing a different flow rate.  The main pump provides 40 gallons per minute at 20 PSI.  The secondary pump provides 11 gallons per minute at 145 PSI.  The main motor is 3 HP, 1160 RPM, TEFC, operated by 3 phase power at 208-230/460V 60Hz. The secondary motor is 3 HP, 1750 RPM, TEFC, operated by 3 phase power at 230/460V 60Hz.

The 280 gallon capacity reservoir is constructed with welded steel.  A top filler cap makes filling the reservoir quick and simple.  The filler cap is equipped with an air filter and liquid strainer to help maintain liquid quality.  The tank is sloped.  A baffle in the tank separates sediment and reduces turbulence.  There is a 12” inspection port and 2” flanged ball valve drain.  There is a flanged return and spare connections.

This system features one duplex filter and one secondary single filter.  The filters utilize replaceable elements, allowing one filter to be serviced while maintaining continuous system operation using the duplicate filter.  These filters feature 10 micron, carbon steel construction with an equalization valve, air bleed and drain connections with plugged ball valves.  A duplex filter element replacement set and secondary filter replacement element is shipped loose.  There are two differential pressure gages, one located across each filter to monitor circulation.

Dual 100 mesh stainless steel suction filters inside the reservoir filter larger debris.  There is also an auxiliary 100 mesh suction filter.

Heaters can maintain a certain liquid temperature and assist in cold weather start-ups.  This Circulating Oil System features a 5500 watt screw plug immersion type heater.  The heater is mounted to the reservoir and housed in Nema 4 enclosure. It has an integral thermostat adjustable from 60° to 250° F.

This lubrication system features a steel, NEMA 4 electrical enclosure containing motor logic and control circuitry, system status lights, start and stop switches, et cetera.

Additional Features:

·          (3) 4 ½” diameter stainless steel pressure gages with bleed/block valves, each displaying 0 to 60 PSI.  One is located after the main pump, near the expander pump inlet, and near the system outlet to monitor output pressure and regulator setting.

·          There are (2) bronze check valves to ensure fluid flows in only one direction, one located near the main pump outlet and one at the expander pump inlet.

·          A bypass relief valve located near the main pump outlet, used to set system output pressure, adjustable from 30 to 100 PSI.

·          A cast iron thermostatic control valve to maintain 140° F system temperature.

·          A cast iron pressure regulator set at 30 PSI, adjustable from 20 to 80 PSI.

·          A brass level transmitter inside the reservoir.

·          A temperature transmitter with thermowell located in the reservoir, factory calibrated to provide 4-20 mA output for 32° to 212° F temperature range.

·          A stainless steel, 3” diameter thermometer with thermowell displays the temperature inside the reservoir, measuring 0 to 250° F.

·          A bronze foot valve.

·          A liquid level gage on the outside of the reservoir features a dial thermometer displaying temperatures from 0° to 250° F, allowing visual check of liquid level, condition, and temperature at a glance.
