Oil-Rite manufactures Lubrication Systems specifically to customer requirements. All systems are engineered, designed, manufactured and fully tested at Oil-Rite. This is an example of a custom built Circulating Oil System.

This Circulating Oil System is equipped with a cast iron pump, painted blue, providing .75 GPM at 20 PSI, with an internal relief valve set at 100 PSI. The 1/3 HP, 1725 RPM, TEFC motor is operated by 3 phase power at 230V/460V 60Hz.  The motor is painted green.

The 10 gallon capacity reservoir is constructed with welded 304 stainless steel. A top filler cap makes filling the reservoir quick and simple. The plated steel filler cap is equipped with a moisture removal element. There are (2) 1/2” OD tube return connections with ball valves, (2) 1/2” female NPT drains, (2) access holes, (2) 1/2” NPT Aux connections near the top and bottom of the reservoirs, (1) 1/2” NPT ball valve connection on the return side of reservoir for reservoir filling, and (1) 1” NPT coupling for temperature element.  A baffle in the tank separates sediment and reduces turbulence.

A low level switch inside the reservoir can be wired to shut down machinery or turn on warning devices when the liquid supply fails or recedes to a predetermined level. The wiring can be accessed through the conduit box and relay located on top of the reservoir

An inline 150 mesh stainless steel suction filter filters larger debris. It features a replaceable mesh element with a condition indicator.  It is plumbed to allow system operation while servicing the filter.

This system is plumbed for continuous operation with two in-series filters, each with spin-on elements for ease of replacement.  There is (1) 6 micron, 1000 beta filter and (1) water absorbing 32 micron, 1000 beta filter.  One filter can be serviced while maintaining continuous system operation using the other filter.

Heaters can maintain a certain liquid temperature and assist in cold weather start-ups. This Circulating Oil System features a 1500 watt heater in the reservoir. The heater is mounted from the side of the reservoir and housed in a NEMA 4 enclosure. It has an integral thermostat adjustable from 60° to 250° F.

Additional controls include:

·          A stainless steel water in oil sensor with analog output

·          304 and 316 stainless steel piping elements

·          A stainless steel check valve located at the system outlet to ensure fluid flows in only one direction.

·          Dual Differential pressure gages, one located across each filter

·          A dial thermometer displaying 0° to 250° F.

·          A bypass relief valve located near the system outlet, used to set system pressure, adjustable from 7 to 35 PSI

·          Dual stainless steel flow switches, set at .25 GPM,

·          A stainless steel pressure gage, located near the system outlet, displaying 0-60 PSI.

·          A 9” centerline 304 Stainless steel  liquid level gage on the outside of the reservoir with a dial thermometer displaying temperatures from 0° to 250° F, allowing visual check of liquid level, condition, and temperature at a glance.

This custom built circulating oil system measures 48” by 20”. The overall height is approximately 29 5/32”. The system can be secured using (4) mounting holes located on the base of the unit.

All Circulating Oil Systems are quoted specifically to customer requirements. Pricing can be determined only after the Circulating Oil System Request Form (found on this page) is completed. Contact the bearing manufacturer for information on the flow rate and fluid required.

Delivery is dependent upon supplier availability, lead times range from 4 to 10 weeks.
