Reservoirs with Filter and Low Level Safety Switch use gravity to dispense liquid. They are designed to serve as a central reservoir of an oiling system. They allow visual observation of liquid level and clarity. This lubricator features a filter and low level safety switch that can be used to actuate warning devices or shut off a machine when lubricant levels become too low.
The durable, shatterproof acrylic reservoir tolerates temperatures up to 160° F. It features a self-closing filler cap, Buna-N seals, plated steel tie rods, and aluminum alloy top and bottom plates. A 100 mesh aluminum filter prevents debris from entering the liquid stream. The low level safety switch has a polypropylene float. The approximate usable oil level to the switch actuation point is 13/64”. The circuit is completed when the switch reaches the low level point. The 18 GA wire leads are 10” long. There is a 1/2” NPSM connection for conduit. The outlet is 3/8” male NPT. The diameter of the reservoir is 4 1/4” and total height of the unit is 7 3/4”.
Additional shutoff and sight feed valves are needed for the regulation of liquid flow (see “Oil Flow Control Valves”).
