Gasketed Window Sights allow visual observation of liquid levels and their condition. They can be used to display fluid motion or mechanical movements, as well as to view and perform tests in a safe enclosure. Specific uses include fluid sighting on hydraulic tanks, pressure vessels, reservoirs, packaged power equipment, hydraulic lines and dipping. Their use can be applied to any application where oil or fluid inspection is essential. Two or more sights can be mounted so as to indicate high, low or in-between levels. This window sight has been specially configured.
This straight threaded window sight may be screwed into a tapped hole. The provided Buna-N o-ring fits between the window sight and tank, preventing leakage past the threads. This unit tolerates up to 50 PSI and 225° F.
The body of this window sight is brass. The inner glass sight is secured between Buna-N seals and an outer, clear polycarbonate sight in order to help protect the glass. A brass retaining ring secures the outer sight. A nylon washer is seated between a brass retaining ring and outer sight to prevent abrasion. A stainless steel reflector maximizes liquid level visibility, even in poor light. The reflector will not tarnish, corrode or discolor under the most adverse of conditions.
This unit features a 2”-11 BSP mounting thread. It has an 2.835” outer diameter and 1 17/32” sight diameter.
