Drum Gages with Faucets can be used to determine the level and condition of liquids stored in steel drums. Oils, solvents, chemicals, water, and many other fluids may be used with the Drum Gage. Drum Gages are suitable for indoor or outdoor use and provide instant visual checks with extreme accuracy. The brass faucet allows fluids to be released at will. It can be locked as an additional safety feature.
The 1/2” diameter glass sight on the liquid level gage is protected on three sides by rust-resistant plated steel. A red line on a white background enhances liquid level visibility. A protected vent hole in the aluminum cap reduces the possibility of dust, dirt, or moisture getting inside the gage. The gage uses atmospheric pressure. Leak-tight construction is achieved with Buna-N seals. The 2” hex brass faucet is normally closed (off). A padlock or ¼” bolt can be inserted in the 5/16” diameter hole to keep the faucet in a closed position. The faucet connects to an iron tee. The tee has a ¾” male NPT mounting thread that connects to the drum. The unit tolerates temperatures up to 225° F.
The length from the center of the mounting hole to the top of the viewable portion of the glass sight is 27 3/8”. The total height of the unit is 32 1/32”. The faucet extends about 7” from the drum.
