Gasketed Window Sights allow visual observation of liquid levels and their condition.  They can be used to display fluid motion or mechanical movements, as well as to view and perform tests in a safe enclosure.  Specific uses include fluid sighting on hydraulic tanks, pressure vessels, reservoirs, packaged power equipment, hydraulic lines and dipping.  Their use can be applied to any application where oil or fluid inspection is essential.  Two or more sights can be mounted so as to indicate high, low or in-between levels.

This straight threaded window sight may be screwed into a tapped hole or used with the plated steel mounting nut for a drilled hole.  The provided Velumoid 505 fiber gasket fits between the window sight and tank, preventing leakage past the threads.  The unit can be used with a maximum wall thickness of 5/32".  It withstands up to 125 PSI and 225° F.

The body of the window sight is constructed of corrosion and rust resistant aluminum alloy. The glass viewing sight is secured by a brass retaining ring.  A Buna-N o-ring creates a leak tight seal.  A nylon washer is seated between the retaining ring and sight to prevent glass abrasion.  This window sight is also available with a stainless steel reflector to enhance liquid visibility.

This unit features a 3/4”-16 mounting thread and plated steel mounting nut.  It has a 15/16” hex and 9/16” sight diameter.  When tightly secured, it extends about 5/32” from the mounting surface.

Other body materials, Viton, and EPDM seals are available upon request.
