Broad Face Nylon Liquid Level Gages with Shut-Offs feature a large rectangular sight, allowing liquid level and clarity to be easily viewed from a distance. The shut-off function allows the gage to be removed without emptying the reservoir. These liquid level gages can be used on hydraulic reservoirs, gearboxes, bearing housings, crankcases, transformers and machinery oil reservoirs. Their use can be extended to many industrial liquid level viewing applications.
This liquid level gage has a clear, durable nylon sight that is rectangular in shape. The front viewing area is 1 3/4” wide. A 1/8” wide red line on the back of the sight enhances liquid level visibility. Easy-to-read “High” and “Low” level markings provide additional visual cues. Two aluminum tie rods run through the center of the sight connecting the aluminum end blocks. Leak-proof construction is achieved with Buna-N seals. The unit tolerates up to 50 PSI and 205° F.
Fluid enters through the cross hole in the hollow lower bolt. The gage is vented into the tank through the cross hole in the top bolt. The length between the center of the two bolts is referred to as the centerline. The distance between the center of the tank holes must be within 1/32” of the centerline measurement. This gage is mounted from the front of the tank with (2) aluminum bolts with 3/4" male NPT adapters.
The brass stems can be adjusted to stop fluid flow into the gage. This can be used as a precautionary measure if breakage is a concern. Should the gage need to be replaced, the front aluminum hex nuts unscrew and the gage can be removed without draining the tank. Once a gage has been placed back onto the bolts and secured with hex nuts, the shut off valves can be opened and the gage will resume normal function.
