Vented Union Coupling Brass Elbow Gages can be used on oil bearings, gear boxes, crank cases, transformers, switches or any application requiring visual indication of liquid level.  This gage was specially designed to measure a vehicle's coolant level.   The leak proof construction, large vent hole and unrestricted passages permit fast and accurate liquid level response.

The square shank with pipe thread screws into a tapped hole on the side of a reservoir.  A full rotational clearance is not necessary; the union coupling is installed without rotating the entire gage.

This brass elbow gage features a 1/2” diameter glass sight protected by a brass shield.  The shield can be revolved to the most convenient position for viewing or taken off completely for cleaning.  The gage uses only atmospheric pressure.  A Teflon washer reduces friction between the cap and the glass during installation and adjustments.  Viton seals are used. The unit tolerates temperatures up to 300° F.

A unique feature of this gage is the 1/4” female NPT top cap.  This gage is also designed with silkscreened hot and cold level markings appropriate to the application.
