Oil-Rite manufactures Lubrication Systems specifically to customer requirements.  All systems are engineered, designed, manufactured and fully tested at Oil-Rite.  This is an example of a custom built Circulating Oil System.

This Circulating Oil System is a dual, independent system sharing a common reservoir.  It has dual gear pumps, each providing 12 liters per minute at 225 PSI.  The dual 1 1/2 HP, 1735 RPM, TEFC motors are operated by 3 phase power at 230/460V 60Hz.

This Lubrication System features a NEMA electrical enclosure containing motor and heater logic and control circuitry, system status lights, local start/stop switches, and customer interface connections.

The 100 gallon capacity reservoir is constructed of welded steel.  A top filler cap makes filling the reservoir quick and simple.  The filler cap is equipped with an air filter and liquid strainer to help maintain liquid quality.  A baffle in the tank separates sediment and reduces turbulence.  Dual 60 mesh stainless steel suction filters inside the reservoir filter larger debris.  Dual low level switches in the reservoir can be wired to shut down machinery or turn on warning devices when the liquid supply fails or recedes to a predetermined level.

This system is plumbed for continuous operation with (2) dual filtration systems.  The 10 micron stainless steel filters feature replaceable elements, allowing one filter to be serviced while maintaining continuous system operation using the duplicate filter.  Dual differential pressure gages and switches are provided to monitor circulation and signal an alarm caused by high levels of filter contamination.

Heaters can maintain a certain liquid temperature and assist in cold weather start-ups.  This Circulating Oil System features (2) 3000 watt screw plug immersion type heaters.  The heaters are mounted to the reservoir and housed in Nema 4 enclosures.  Each heater has an integral thermostat adjustable from 60° to 250° F.

This system also features (2) liquid cooled heat exchangers to help maintain a constant oil supply temperature. The heat exchangers used with this Circulating Oil System are constructed with 316 stainless steel.  Each removes approximately 35,000 BTU/HR, and requires 5 GPM of cooling water at a 90° F maximum.  Dual thermometers displaying 0° to 250° F are located near each heat exchanger outlet to monitor temperature.

Dual temperature actuated modulating water control valves minimize water usage.  These bronze valves monitor the temperature at the heat exchangers cooling oil outlets and adjust water flow accordingly.  They are adjustable from 100° to 175° F.

Additional Features:

·          A liquid level gage on the outside of the reservoir features a dial thermometer displaying temperatures from 0° to 250° F, allowing visual check of liquid level, condition, and temperature at a glance.

·          Dual temperature switches sense reservoir temperature and are adjustable from 75° to 200° F.  The switches are housed in Nema 4 enclosures.

·          Dual pressure switches in Nema 4 enclosures are located near the system outlets, adjustable from 60-400 PSI.

·          A pressure gage displaying 0 – 400 PSI is located near each system outlet.

·          Spring loaded bronze check valves are located after each pump and at the system outlet to ensure fluid flows in only one direction.

·          Dual cast-iron bypass relief valves are used to set system output pressure, adjustable from 150 to 300 PSI.

·          Bronze ball valves permit isolation of the systems and transfer of fluid flow between the systems during system maintenance.

All Circulating Oil Systems are quoted specifically to customer requirements.  Pricing can be determined only after the Circulating Oil System Request Form (found on this page) is completed.  Contact the bearing manufacturer for information on the flow rate and fluid required.

Delivery is dependent upon supplier availability, lead times range from 4 to 10 weeks.
